Cucumber Noodles?
My mother got us a veggie noodler for Christmas and we finally tried it last night. It's basically a pencil sharpener for veggies.
We cut down a cucumber and made wraps with grilled chicken, poppyseed dressing, romaine lettuce, onions, and mozzeralla on spinach tortillas. They were really good and fresh. ^_^
Printing Backgrounds
I had some of this eraser-type printing block I got from an art conference. I wish I could remember the brand so I could be more helpful. :/
It was easy to cut with a craft knife into the shape I wanted. I chose a simple triangle and used a Woden skewer to hold it in place. If I were going to use this stamp more, I'd use a more permanent handle. But this works for the one page background I wanted. ^_^

Getting Ready for 2015
I decided to create a daily scrapbook for the upcoming year to do one page every day. It seems I've likely found my first lie to myself of 2015. ;)
I didn't have a spare sketchbook and I didn't want to spend any money on this. So I made my own small book from cardboard, tape, and parts from an old 6" 3-ring binder. I'm really impressed with my craftsmanship on this. ^_^
I designed the cover with a simple graphic number and our names.
And I balanced that and added some color with an embroidered arrow.
I already have a layout design in mind for the first page. We'll see how this "daily" thing goes. :D
Felt Woodland Animals
Nelson's family has two babies under 6 months old. This year, I made them woodland friends with bells inside, for shaking and nibbling. I folded a 1'x1' square of felt in half then sewed the edges for the pear shape. I stuffed them and added details. Ta-done!
